DIY EXFOLIATING RECIPES

If you’re lazy like me and don’t really understand what the hype behind exfoliating your skin is- try doing it to just one leg and then feel the difference between the two legs  when you’re out.  If you want to take it a step further- ask your friends to touch your legs and see which one feels better!

This is exactly what I did to help me determine that exfoliating is an ABSOLUTE MUST and definitely worth the extra five minutes in the shower.  Since WINTER IS COMING, I’ve created an organic coconut Himalayan salt scrub to keep my skin nourished, glowing and smooth!

I use Pink Himalayan Salt because it’s completely natural and one of the purest salt found on this planet. It’s full of minerals like magnesium and calcium that are great for your skin. I used salt from 10 Thousand Villages because it’s an authentic Fair Trade product, hand crafted by artisans in Pakistan. A purchase is always a “no brainer” to me when I get to buy something I want and support an organization that helps underprivileged people and supports communities.

Below is a DIY recipe which will last you a while and will be cost effective- not to mention you know exactly what’s in it!

 Calming Lavender- Lemon Salt Scrub

               8 oz Himalayan Pink Salt

2  oz  jojoba oil ( is full of nutrients like Vitamin E and B, as well as antioxidants and   minerals like chromium, copper, and zinc, which all nourish and protect skin, It’s super hydrating)

            Coconut Oil

             20 drops lavender essential oil

             10 drops lemon essential oil

If you don’t have essential oils or are not crazy about them- don’t sweat it! You can even just go ahead and keep this super simple by just using coconut oil and salt.
